A reminder from We the People:

Elected, appointed, and hired
government officials and employees are public servants, subject to the people.

THEY work for the people.

THEY are paid by the people.

THEY are to be respectable.

THEY are not above the law.
THEY are subject to the law.
THEY must obey to the law.

THEY are not to be an embarrassment to the people they work for and serve.

THEY are to listen to the people.

THEY are to make decisions to benefit many but not penalize one.

THEY are not to have personal, selfish, or special interest agendas.

THEY are to uphold the principles of LIBERTY and FREEDOM.

ANOTHER REMINDER:
What pledge is taken at each public meeting
by the elected servants of the Village?

"I PLEDGE allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation, under God, indivisible, with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL."
